PGRFC have continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Joe Coope-Franklin.
Joe has a strong rugby pedigree having been part of the Regional Development system in his native Wales. He originally played at the famous Newbridge RFC club before representing the Dragons at U18 level. He moved to be part of the Scarlets academy system but the pandemic put paid to that opportunity and he decided to take up a university place at UCLAN. He plays rugby league for the Salford Reds and is another dual code player. A back rower he brings an all round game to the role being able to play on both flanks whilst also being a lineout option.
Head Coach Joel Unsworth said “Joe has impressed in pre-season with his skill levels and game understanding and he is fitting in nicely. He clearly has a good pedigree and I look forward to working with him over the season when his league commitments allow”.
