Saturday 23rd March 2013 saw Richard Ellis and his dance partner Sue Peacock crowned as ‘Hoppers Come Dancing’ champions for 2013. The couple performed a Viennese Waltz and received a score of 36 out of 40 from the judging panel despite their dance containing not 1 but 2 illegal lifts!

The night raised £1000 for The Dean Puplett Appeal. Unfortunately Dean’s mum Jane couldn’t attend the evening as she was ‘snowed in’ in North Wales. Mike Forshaw, Dean’s Grandad, read a speech that had been written by Jane which explained all about Dean’s life so far, the treatment he has had and what the future might hold.
Thank you to everybody who attended the evening and helped raised so much money. A special thanks to all the dancers, judges and volunteers who gave up their time to put on the show.
