Congratulations to the Hoppers XI who were joint champions of the Boddingtons Cricket League for the 2017 season!
Hoppers shared the title with Fulwood & Broughton on 43 points with just 3 losses from their 18 games.
The season was guided by inspirational captain Jim Moore, who carried out his campaign to ‘make Hoppers great again’ with a passion and determination that hasn’t been seen for a long time!
The lads enjoyed the end of season awards night at Preston North End last weekend, wrestling the trophy off Fulwood & Broughton to have the press shot pictured above.
Some of the key performers with the bat were Steve Kerry, Cameron Berry and Liam Zolly, who all featured in the league’s top 10 best batsman of the season.
With the ball, captain Jim Moore was statistically the 3rd best bowler with Liam Zolly also featuring in the top 10 marking a great all round campaign.
