Hoppers Cricket Mid-Season Update

Date: 19 June 2014

At the halfway stage of the Boddington’s Village Cricket League 2014 under this season’s skipper, Tom Peterson, Hoppers find themselves in 4th place with 5 wins from 9 played.

After a promising opening game, beating last year’s champions, Grimsargh, Hoppers slumped to three successive losses to Barton Grange (A), Guy’s (H) and Whittingham (A).

However, with 4 victories in their last 5 matches, Hoppers have turned the corner and climbed up the table, although well off the pace set by the current leaders.

So far John Peterson has won Man of the Match award 3 times, followed by Steve Kerry with 2.

Batting: Retirements (25) have been: Ally Murray (4), John Peterson (2), Tom Peterson (2), Rich Wardell (2), Sean Taylor (1), Martin Bowden-Williams (1), B Thomas (1), Joe Peterson (1), Steve Kerry (1) and John Graham (1)
