Hoppers welcome Hull Ionians to Lightfoot Green this Saturday (27th January) hoping to record a first home win of the season at the eight attempt as well as breaking a five game losing streak.
Ionians also desperately need an upturn in fortunes having lost eight consecutive games stretching back to November with their last win coming against Wharfedale in October. This dip in form sees the Hull side sitting 13th in National League 2 North on 22 points with Hoppers three places above in 10th on 29 points.
The reverse fixture in September saw Hoppers run out 15-19 victors with Spence, Richardson and Keohane all scoring tries in an excellent away win.
Danger man for Hull Ionians is Lewis Minikin who has racked up 154 points to date which includes 7 tries. Will Hunt leads the way for Hoppers with 107 points and Tyler Spence (pictured above) tops the try scorers with 8.
