It’s back! The next Hoppers Rollers pre-match cycle will be the start and end of your New Year’s resolutions. A post Christmas Fat Burner is planned for 4th January followed by the first team fixture vs Chester.
Meet at 7:30 for breakfast with a start of 8.15am. Lunch is served at 1.00pm with the match kicking off at 2.30. The cost is £25 to enter.
Again there will be two routes. Route 1 is the Heavy Rollers route and will incorporate the famous Nick of Pendle climb out of Clitheroe. Route 2 is the Christmas Puddings route for those who have really over indulged and will be a flatter course for more social riders. Both routes will be in a similar area with a stop planned in Whalley at the newly opened Beacon Bikes shop for mulled wine and mince pies included in the price.

The ride is open to cyclists of all abilities and can be ridden socially without taking part in the time trials. Non members are also welcome so please bring your friends. A support vehicle will be available.
Entrants in the Heavy Rollers classification will be able to take part in a ‘King of the Mountains’ time trial using Strava.
Once riders return to the club they will get the chance to shower and change and enjoy a superb 3 course lunch. There will be awards presented during lunch and then the chance to watch the 1st XV take on Chester.
In the event of bad weather the ride will be re-scheduled for the next Hoppers home game. It is not a race. Participants should ensure their bikes is roadworthy and they are fit to take part. Cycle helmets are mandatory. Hoppers Rollers cycling club are members of British Cycling.
