Senior colts 27 tyldesley 0

Hoppers snr colts played some fast positive rugby in beating a big Tyldesley side.

The early exchanges did not look too good as the away team were awarded two penalties on the home 22 however a tremendous line break from antony elliott and brad ellis allowed enough room for luke procter to score lewis converted. By now hoppers looked dangerous in every aspect of their game and after an excellent driving maul from ben Jackson, james coultard and of course burnsy quick ball from the alert scrum half tom lyth freed antony to score the try.

The 3rd try came after another good run from winger brad, the ball then going from one side of the pitch to the other this time tom davies dummied to score. Hoppers looked to be enjoying the freedom of the pitch and after oliver hamilton disrupted tyldesleys scrum excellent distribution from james barnes sent antony over for his second.

Half time 22-0

The second half started with another great drive from our dominant pack, quick ball from tom allowed lewis to break the defence to send brad over. Tyldesley drove up the pitch and seemed certain to score after hoppers infringed several times but excellent defence from james whittle ,darren spencer and hooker jake shepherd kept the sheet clean. The away team kept kicking the ball back at hoppers allowing fullback adam atkinson and winger jetain ladd the freedom to run back at them however the scoring had finished in what was a very good performance from hoppers senior colts.

Final score

Hoppers 27 – tyldesley 0
