Hoppers kick off 2023 by welcoming National 2 North leaders Sedgley Park Tigers to Lightfoot Green on Saturday.
Not only are Sedgley top of the league they are also unbeaten with a perfect 12 from 12 record. With Sedgley not having played in over a month Hoppers will be hoping that the Whitefield side are rusty. The last time that they did take to the field, Sedgley ran out comfortable 47-17 winners over Sheffield.
Hoppers on the other hand will be hoping for a repeat of the excellent performance on December 10th which saw them beat Rotherham 21-16 at Lightfoot Green.
Saturday also sees a sold out pre-match lunch with over 150 past players descending on Lightfoot Green to meet up with former teammates and share stories of years gone by. We hope they have a great day back at Lighfoot green.
