Jake Pope selected in England U20’s squad

Date: 20 January 2016

The club is delighted to hear that former Hoppers Mini/Junior Jake Pope has been selected in the England Under 20’s Elite Player Squad for the forthcoming Six Nations tournament.

Jake made his debut for England last season against France in Doncaster when he was named on the bench for the Under 18’s squad and is now with Sale Sharks as a professional player and is picking up senior experience on loan at Sale FC. Unfortunately for Hoppers, Jake found his way on to the score sheet for Sale in the 22-22 draw at Heywood Road when Hoppers were the opposition for the first game of 2016. Bittersweet for Jake we’re sure!
