Older members will be saddened to hear of the death of Jim Walker at the age of 84. He played for the Hoppers 1st XV at Lea in the late 50s early 60s. After he finished playing he was involved with coaching the Colts and also served on the Committee which oversaw the move from Lea to Lightfoot Lane. A plaque with his name, along with others is on the wall beside the main bar. To his family and friends, the club passes on its condolences.
The funeral is to be held at Preston Crematorium at 2.30 pm on Monday 7th. October.
