It is with great sadness that PGRFC announces the passing of Joe Moxham on 29th February.
Joe was a longstanding member, supporter and volunteer at Hoppers and will be deeply missed by all his Hoppers’ family. Joe played an active role in keeping the club running smoothly and took great pride in maintaining our outdoor space. His planters by the main entrance and on the terrace area were resplendent! Joe was a fixture on match-days and always took the time to catch-up and share the craic. He was genuine, warm and welcoming to all, personifying what Hoppers is all about. He will be sorely missed.
On behalf of all Hoppers’ members, supporters and staff, we send deepest sympathies to Karen, Tom, Katherine, Helen, Sarah, Rachel and all Joe’s extended family.
Funeral Arrangements
The funeral of Joe Moxham will take place on Thursday 14th March at 12pm at Our Lady and St.Edward’s church, 4 Marlborough Drive, Preston, PR2 9UE.
Please may we ask that no flowers are brought to the funeral. Joe’s wishes were for any donations to be made to St.Catherines Hospice in his memory.

The burial will take place at St.Mary’s Newhouse, Station Lane, Preston, PR3 5DY. However, following Joe’s wishes, this will be kept to just immediate family only please.
The wake will be held at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club (PGRFC), Lightfoot Green Lane, PR4 0AP.
