Keith ‘Dad’ Brierley has announced his intention to finally hang up his boots on April 20th aged 71 and after 52 seasons.
Keith will play his last game on Saturday April 20th against Blackpool against Blackpool 1 after over 2000 games for the club.
We caught up with ‘Dad’ ahead of his retirement to get his thoughts on days gone by and his plans for the future. The interview is split into two parts, you can watch them at the end of the article.
April 20th
It is hoped that as many current and ex-teamates of ‘Dad’ as possible will be in attendance on 20th April to see him in his final game. The game kicks off at 3pm and anyone who fancies one last run out with ‘Dad’ is welcome to bring their boots and take part in the game.
