The club are looking to recruit a Rugby Apprentice to assist in but not limited to the management of the new RFU 3G Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) located at the club. The role will cover a wide range of customer service, catering, maintenance and rugby related tasks. The candidate will have opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the running of the rugby club.
A 30 hour week with shift pattern to suit the operation of the pitch so will include evening and weekend hours.

It is envisaged that the Rugby Apprentice will take the customer through the journey of booking and using the club facilities. From Administering bookings, welcoming customers to the club, setting up rooms for conferencing, assisting with coaching, maintaining the pitch through to potentially providing or serving food and drink to customers.
You will need to be computer literate flexible, outgoing, welcoming personality. Will to engage with customers to enhance their experience of visiting the club and using the pitch. Happy to work hard and on occasions be unsupervised. Conscientious and reliable. An interest in sport. Ability to work well in a small team and pitch in where necessary.
GCSE Maths and English. Sports based GCSE preferred but not essential.
CRB will be essential due to engagement with/activity around children.
Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW):
The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship.
For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
