Preston Grasshoppers Senior Colt John Mackenzie (pictured far left during the anthems) captained England Counties Under 18’s to a first International double in 9 years as they saw off France and Ireland 7-5 and 13-11 respectively.
Mackenzie was watched by Hoppers Chairman of Rugby Michael Bailey as they beat Ireland to claim the double at Hartpury College. Bailey tweeted that Mackenzie was the outstanding forward on the pitch until he picked up a dead leg just before half time.
Congratulation to John and his team mates on a tremendous achievement. Everyone at the club is very proud of what John has achieved and wishes him every success for the future.
