It was a busy Sunday at Hoppers with the Minis hosting Widnes and Aldwinians and the boys and girls Junior teams were also in action.
The Under 14s hosted Vale of Lune in a friendly fixture. It was a good opportunity to get the entire squad onto the pitch and try a number of alternatives at several positions. Although Vale were well organised and never gave up Hoppers eventually ran out relatively easy winners.
The Under 16s edged a close game at home to Altincham Kersal 22-21, again injuries played a part and thanks to Altincham for lending us a player. Hoppers played some promising rugby in the first half building a strong lead but were pegged back in the second half just managing to hold on despite a couple of injuries.
The girls Under 13s and Under 15s pulled on the Hoppers shirts for the first ever time and played in a pitch up and play tournament in Burnley. Hoppers were mixed in with girls from Vale of Lune and they all absolutely loved it!
