All Mini age groups made the journey down to Warrington this weekend.
The Under 12s played really well in three matches against two very strong Warrington sides (as usual) and a much improved Bolton side but narrowly lost all three.
Sunday saw Round 3 of the Blacksticks Blue (Lancashire) Cup for the Junior teams;
The Under 13s picked up a win courtesy of a home walk-over, Clitheroe were unable to raise a team.
The Under 14s lost 30-0 at home to Southport, a disappointing performance by Hoppers, having lost their 3 best backs to injury through the week, there was a lack of belief in the team that they could win without them.
The Under 15s beat a competitive Southport side 30-0 away, lots of handling errors kept it close in the first half but Hoppers backs clicked in the second half to put points on the board.
The Under 16s had a good win 38-21 away at Sefton who Hoppers also beat in last seasons semi-final.
The Junior Colts lost out at home to Bowdon by 14-15, it was a hard fought battle with, according to some observers, a few controversial decisions.
