The weekend highlight was without doubt the U18s International on Sunday with a massive turn-out from the Mini/Junior section.
The morning kicked off with the Under 6s, Under 7s and Under 12s entertaining the gathering crowd with their rugby skills on the AGP.
The Under 12s in particular had a great morning of rugby on Sunday hosting two teams from Garstang and one from the Vale of Lune. The Under 12s themselves had enough to field 2 sides so everyone got plenty of time on the pitch and after a number of weeks grinding out wins knee deep in mud, it was great to play on top of the ‘grass’ on the AGP where they could show off their ever improving handling skills. Well done to everyone who came down on Sunday!
As for the U18s game, the Under 6s, Under 7s and Under 8s provided the ‘Guard of Honour’ as the teams came onto the pitch, and the Under 11s provided the ball boys for the anthems and the game – well done to Robbie Eastham, Adam Davenport, George Helme, James Noblett, Felix Brooks, Oliver Corlett, Joe Dodd and Gaberial Holden.
The other Minis age groups also did their bit entertaining the crowd at half time! A fantastic day for the club and well done to all Mini/Junior players, coaches and parents for helping to show the Club in a very positive light.
