It was a busy weekend at Hoppers with all Mini and Junior teams at home except for the U13s.
The Minis entertained teams from Bolton and Southport, it was great to see so many players out there.
It was round 4 of the Blacksticks Blue Challenge Cup for the Junior teams.
The Under 13s won away 20-0 at Trafford MV to keep their cup campaign on track, while the Under 14s won 37*-7 at home against Waterloo, a close game up until half way through 2nd half when Hoppers pulled away and finished with a comfortable win, a hat-trick of tries from Joe Shield.
The Under 14s beat Bolton 30*-0 at home, Bolton had no answer to the speed and power of Hoppers backs but they never stopped trying, a second hat-trick of the season for Walters.
The Under 16s overcame a 14 man Bolton side 30*-0, playing for the first time on the expanses of the first team pitch Hoppers were able to exploit the space and numerical advantage and ran out comfortable winners.
The Junior Colts had a first round Lancashire Cup game away at Wigan and came away with a 27-15 win against a very vocal team, the Senior Colts had a disappointing 17-0 defeat away at Fleetwood in their first round cup game.
