The Mini’s entertained Ormskirk and Liverpool St Helens this weekend.
The Under 1os fielded 2 sides with both Hoppers and Fireflies recording victories over Ormskirk. The U12s continue to improve with both Hoppers and Fireflies winning against Ormskirk with all round team performances.
There was Blackstick’s Blue (Lancashire) Cup action for 3 of the junior teams this weekend.
The U13s beat Vale of Lune 17-12 at home in a game Hoppers thought they had won before half-time but had to battle hard to stop a Vale comeback. West Park U14s had to concede their game to Hoppers U14s due to a spate of injuries resulting in them unable to field a team, while the U15s had a comfortable 33*-3 win away at Aldwinians to continue thier winning run in the cup.
The U16s faced Ilkley in a late kick-off at home, Hoppers ending Ilkley’s 2 year unbeaten run with a great 23-5 win – well done lads!
