The majority of the Minis hosted Tarleton and Fylde this weekend.
The Under 7s fielded 4 teams and played a round robin against two teams each from the visitors. Some excellent tag rugby was played by all, with Hoppers demonstrating a great strength in depth and good progression.
The U11s and U12s were in Lancashire Minis’ festival Cup action and both faced away trips in the opening round-robin games. The Under 11s came away from Blackburn with a walk-over win against the hosts and a 42-19 loss to Vale. The Under 12s claimed two wins with Talreton conceding and a great 19-0 win over hosts Fleetwood.
The Under 15s faced Leigh at home with the match ending in a creditable 12-12 draw against last years Cup runners-up which was a fair reflection of a tremendous game and a great advert for U15s rugby. There were no games for the U13s, U14s and U16s this weekend.
Both Colts teams were in County Cup action this weekend with the Junior Colts squeezing through their opening round with a 22-17 win at Sefton while the Senior Colts had a comfortable win away at Southport 48-5
