It was Blacksticks Blue Cup action again for the Junior teams this weekend.
The Under 14s won 19-17 away at Liverpool Collegiate, a hard but quite scrappy game of rugby, great defensive effort from the team meant that Hoppers were fortunate to come away with the win, 2 good finishes for tries by Joe Shield though.
Under 16s beat an improving Ormskirk team 36-26 in a game Hoppers started well and established a winning position that they were never going to let slip.
The Under 13s had a bye this week, while the Under 15s had a home walk-over against Wigan.
The Junior Colts lost on the road, losing 43-5 against Stoke, the lads are improving every week. Lost players, new players and different playing positions make a difficult recipe, but the ingredients are starting to come together. The Senior Colts had a home walk-over against Eccles.
