Following an early morning pitch inspection, most of the Mini and Junior teams started the New Year with training sessions, however, there was some match action.
The Under 14s lost out away at Southport 8-0 in a tight match between two closely matched sides, while the Under 15s lost out at home to an unbeaten Southport side 27-7, it was a decent performance by Hoppers who kept going to the end despite the pitch and weather conditions.
The Colts started the New Year with an impressive performance and result, beating Waterloo 43-13 at home. The Colts will be looking to build on this performance in their travels to Altrincham Kersal next weekend.
