Date: 16 October 2014

The U7s came away from their second Festival with another trophy, at the Manchester Festival trophies were awarded based on the Rugby Core values with the U7s picking up award for Discipline over their 6 matches played.

The U8s visited the Manchester Festival this weekend, enjoying a day out in the sunshine.

The U10s also played at the Manchester Festival, they played 4 group games against some strong opposition from Macclesfield, Chester, Bowdon and Sandbach, unfortunately losing all four games but playing some good rugby along the way. The standard of rugby was high, the tackling being particularly fierce giving the lads something to think about.

The U14’s won away at Rochdale 22-17, in a good competitive game, Hoppers just nicked it with a breakaway try by Cam Hayward.

The U16s visited Rochdale and came away with a 38-7 win employing the full squad, it took Hoppers a while to secure quality possession but once established some good backs moves late on sealed the win.

The Junior Colts suffered another defeat 31-19 at home to Glossop. It was a good game and the lads are getting better every week and starting to gel with the new players and getting familiar with new positions.
