We regret to announce the death of long-time member Neville Bolton who passed away on Tuesday 2nd January aged 75.
At Hoppers, he was involved in the embryonic mini/junior section and later helped to set up the club cricket section in which he served as chairman for several years. After retirement, he was a volunteer helper in Hoppers kitchen, looking after conference customers and assisting the chef. It was a family affair since his wife, Andrea, was also involved as the long-serving secretary in the office.
A great sports fan, Neville enjoyed a successful career in journalism and retired as Sports Editor of the Manchester Evening News.
Our condolences go out to Andrea and family. The funeral will take place on Thursday 18th January, 12:15pm at Preston Crematorium.
