With the regular rugby season now finished it’s time for summer touch rugby!
Following the success of Touch Rugby on Moor Park last summer, which saw up to 80 people playing, the club has been awarded an O2 Touch Rugby franchise for Summer 2013.
Touch Rugby is a non-contact sport which can be played by both men and women on the same team. It is the perfect way to try rugby without the fear of being hurt in a full contact game. Touch Rugby is also very fast paced so acts as a good way of maintaining and improving fitness over the summer months.
The sessions will start on Thursday 23rd May on the Garstang Road side of Moor Park at 7pm and will run every Thursday. Please note that this is the opposite side to last year. There is no cost involved and anybody over the age of 16 is welcome, male or female. You don’t need any prior experience of rugby as there will be plenty of people to show you the ropes.
