PGRFC Add the Prolific Keohane to 1st XV Squad

Date: 29 July 2022

PGRFC is delighted to welcome Ed Keohane to Lightfoot Green.

Ed joins Hoppers from Maidenhead RFC having relocated to the North West with his family. Former Hoppers Will Greenwood (coach at Maidenhead) and Niall Crosley (currently playing for Maidenhead) have both recommended Ed to the club and we are delighted that he has chosen to continue his rugby journey at Lightfoot Green. Comfortable at fly half, centre and full back, Ed is also a prolific goalkicker and a proven leader and comes to Hoppers as an experienced player having previously represented Chinnor, London Irish Wild Geese as well as playing for North Otago in the New Zealand Heartland Competition and Eastern Suberbs in the Sydney Shute Shield.

Head Coach Joel Unsworth said “We are looking forward to welcoming Ed and his family to the club. He comes with a good level of experience and strong references as a good game manager and a good person to have in the dressing room. We have quite a young back division so to have someone of his experience in the squad will be invaluable and he provides a good kicking option both in terms of goalkicking and tactically”.
