In the light of the Governments pronouncements on 16 March 2020 we have taken the decision to close our hospitality and conferencing facilities from Saturday 21st March to the end of April inclusive. As this is an ever-changing situation, this will be kept under review and we will keep you updated in the event of any change.
The Wainwright Bar will remain open until the evening of Friday 20 March but keeping it open beyond that time for what is likely to be a low demand is neither economic nor practical.
There will be no access to the Clubhouse after Friday 20 March until the end of April and this includes the squash courts. Staff will be working from home although we are ensuring regular checks are made on the Club for security purposes.
This will be a difficult and expensive period for the Club and there can be no certainty as to when the Clubhouse will be open for business again. We are, however, committed to returning to normal operations as soon as possible and are planning for a number of events to be moved to late Summer or Autumn. Details will follow in due course but at the moment our main concerns are with the health and wellbeing of Staff and Members.
