Training will return to Lightfoot Green this coming Tuesday 12th July after three excellent weeks work at Blackburn RUFC.
The essential pitch repair work at Lightfoot Green has now been sufficiently completed to allow sessions to be run from next week. Training will continue to be on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays until further notice. Please note that on Monday 11th July the squad will undertake a session on the sand dunes. For further details please contact the coaching staff for directions and timings.
Commenting on pre-season to date Rugby Management member Gareth Dyer said “We have had three good weeks at Blackburn with all sessions seeing numbers of 30-35 players working hard. I would like to thank Blackburn for their co-operation and providing their excellent facilities for our use. No doubt this has further strengthened the ties between the two clubs and we hope to be able to work closely together in the future”.
“The sessions have been really well attended and the coaches are pleased with the effort and commitment they have seen so far. We have had a number of new faces in attendance in addition to the new recruits we have already announced. We will make a further statement on signings in due course. The senior squad for next season is taking shape but we are still working on one or two things and hope that this will be completed shortly”.
