The Under 13s completed a successful season by finishing runners up in the Manchester 7s festival on Sunday, they were beaten by Silhilians from Solihull in a close final 26-14.
It was a great performance in their first run out at 7s rugby as they reached the final by beating rivals Manchester in the semi-final. The team had progressed through the groups stage with 3 wins and a defeat, also to Silhilians.
The final was a close contest between 2 good sides and was decided late on by long distance try by the Solihull team.
Hoppers were congratulated on their performance by Leicester and England scrum half Ben Youngs.
