Seconds Face Tricky Trip to Chester

Date: 17 November 2011

Mike Lough’s second team face a difficult trip to 4th placed Chester, who will be looking to heap more misery on Hoppers after their frustrating defeat last weekend.

Hoppers are strengthened by the selection of Mark Irving, Wayne Steel and Connor Murphy, all of whom have seen recent first team action. Additionally, Cameron Berry and Andy Napier return from injury. Therefore, Dave Chadwick, Phil Mills, Dan Fletcher and Charles Hostier are all on third team duty. The changes in the squad reflect the strength in depth at this time and those who make way can consider themselves somewhat unfortunate.

As a result of last weeks reverse, Hoppers are now in second place, however they still boast an exceptional record and will retain half an eye on Sedgely’s extremely tough trip to Stockport. As ever the squad have trained well this week and are intent on remaining unbeaten until the Christmas break.

Meet time for the squad is 11.30am at Hoppers or 1.00pm at Chester. Players are reminded that parking space at Lightfoot Lane is limited this weekend due to the re-surfacing work that is going on. The squad is as follows:

Chris Gale
Brad Tuff
Mark Irving
Wayne Steel
Mark Rigbye
Ally Murray
Will Keenan
Connor Murphy
Matt Conway
Mark Edwards
Anthony Elliott
Cameron Berry
Jack Ward
Matt Gargett
Mark Murray

Reps: Oga Mabaya, Andy Napier, Jonny Mahon.
