The second team face defending champions and current pace setters Sedgley Tigers at Lightfoot Green this Saturday afternoon.
Clashes between the two sides have been close, entertaining affairs in recent seasons with both sides in the mix for honours come May. Hoppers enjoyed a string of victories over the Tigers before the men from Park Lane vanquished Young’s men on a gloomy October evening. That night saw Hoppers produce their most disappointing display of the season whereas last week’s excellent victory over Caldy was arguably their most impressive.
Hoppers are strengthened by the return of a number of senior players who have been battling injury in recent months whilst those who have been promoted following last week’s exploits are replaced seamlessly by young players who are desperate to prove themselves.
One of the returnees is last seasons 1st XV skipper Dominic Moon who has been out since the end of last season following surgery to his bicep and shoulder. It will be great to see him in the blue and white hoops again.

Young also welcomes Darren Clark into the squad for the first time this season. The prop has been making his way up through the teams since deciding to put his boots back on following a well deserved sabbatical from the game. Darren is sure to add his own brand of strength and power to the team and all at the Green are pleased to see him back in the fold.
For those who are not travelling to Ampthill, kick off is scheduled for 2.15pm and all those involved would love to see as many of the Hoppers faithful as possible in attendance. The squad are meeting at 12.45pm and is as follows;
