The clubs Senior Colts bring their successful season to a close with three finals over the next three weekends. Showing again that the Mini/Juniors, Sponsored by Hunters, Land Rover, are producing future players for the clubs Senior set up. The current team, captained by Sam Gale, commence the series of games on Sunday 28th when they take on their fierce league rivals Lymm RUFC in the Raging Bull Cup competition. The game, to be played at Sandbach RUFC brings together the top two teams in the North West for the third time this season with our Colts confident of their first win in this seasons series of games.
The following Sunday they will travel the short distance to Fylde RFC, to compete for the Lancashire Cup. They will meet with Southport RUFC for the first time this season who they knocked out of the competition in the first round last year on the way to their fifth consecutive victory.
The final game of the season requires the team to travel to the North East where they are scheduled to meet the colts from Billington RUFC at Middlesbrough RUFC in the Cock ’O’ the North competition. Acknowledging the distances to be travelled, especially to Sandbach and Middlesbrough there may be some spaces on the team coach.
