Following the completion of the opening month of the competitive season, we are delighted to announce the first Senior Player of the Month Award. This award is given to a member of the 1st XV Squad who has impressed on and off the field during that month and is chosen by the Coaching and Off-Field team.
The September winner of the Senior Player of the Month Award is centre Jack Akrigg (sponsored by Horsfield Building Services Ltd).
Jack has impressed with his performances for both the 2nd and 1st XV during the month and has demonstrated high standards in training and off the field. Head of Rugby Operations Gareth Dyer said “Jack has impressed with his work rate in training, his attitude towards his team-mates and the quality of his playing performances. He is a player who works hard at his game and someone who has shown a desire to get better week on week. He has started to demonstrate some leadership skills and is a player with bags of potential. We look forward to seeing him continue to develop his all round game”.
The club would like to thank Andy Donovan for sponsoring this month’s award.
The club will also be announcing next week the “Club Player of the Month” winner for September. This award is given to a player from our 3rd to 6th XV’s and is sure to be a difficult decision for the panel of judges.
