Sheffield trip for Hoppers

Date: 15 September 2023

Hoppers head across the Penines tomorrow to take a Sheffield side who sit 2 points above Hoppers in the early season table.

Both of Sheffield’s games have been tight ones so far with an opening day 35-40 loss at home to Leeds Tykes followed up with a 28-32 derby victory over rivals Sheffield Tigers last week. Both Elliot Fisher and Christian Hooper have scored 3 tries across the 2 games so will be players to watch tomorrow.

Hoppers come into the game off the back of derby defeat to Fylde last time out but scored another 3 tries through the backs to take the total to 9 for the season, all scored through the back line. Centre Jake Maher (pictured above) leads the early season scoring charts with 3.
