Shona hair cut for charity

Date: 24 January 2017

This Saturday Shona from behind the bar will be having her hair cut live in the Dooley Suite to raise money for the project detailed below. If you can support this cause then that would be fantastic.

Shona said;

”In March 2017 I will be taking part in a three month placement in Nicaragua. I will be living within a community and working alongside the local people in order to develop their knowledge of sanitisation through a WASH project (Water and Sanitisation Hygiene).

In order to raise this money I’ll be doing a sponsored hair cut on the 28th of January 2017. The hair cut will be taking place live at Preston Grasshoppers RFC, at half time of the 1st XV’s match against Otley. I’m planning on chopping around 15 inches off my locks, with the hair being donated to The Little Princess Trust and all of the money raised will be to Raleigh International and their work in Nicaragua.

I’ve been given this amazing opportunity by Raleigh International, who are a sustainable development charity. They work for and with young people, alongside rural communities, to create positive and lasting change. The work they do focuses on three areas: providing access to safe water and sanitation, protecting vulnerable environments and building livelihoods.Thank-you so much for your support. Thank you.”

Good luck Shona from everyone at the club!
