At the Special General Meeting on Thursday 15th June, 45 members attended to consider the proposal to dispose of land fronting Lightfoot Lane and to consider a potential disposal of land to the rear of Lingala.
A detailed presentation was made on behalf of the Management Committee which was followed by a number of questions from members which were answered in detail. As a result, the vast majority of members present voted in favour of the motions and none voted against.
The next step is to continue discussions with the developers and bring the sale of land for a care home to completion. Discussions will also continue in respect of the land to the rear of Lingala.
