Date: 23 July 2015

On Saturday 8th August 2015 at 12pm Malcolm Crane is holding an event at Lightfoot Green to launch his new book ‘The Rugby Clubs of England’ .

The book covers 500 rugby clubs with history from Ambleside to Yarnbury (there is no club beginning with Z), plus a history of English rugby from street football to the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Hoppers get a generous 3000 words. Running to 300,000 words, 400 photos, 1000 interviews and 5000 telephone calls, the book is thought to be the largest tome ever produced on rugby.

The Monzino String Quartet will entertain visitors and Peter Lamb will sing ‘Jerusalem’ and the national anthem. A buffet will also be available on the day.

There is no fee to attend and if anyone would like to come along , please email Malcolm.Crane@rugbyclubsofengland.com.
