PGRFC is thrilled to announce the signing of back rower Toby Harrison. He joins Hoppers after spells with Fylde and Wigan whilst he was also part of the Myerscough Rugby Academy. He has represented Lancashire and the North at U20 level. He was also part of the Lancashire Senior Squad in 2017/18. Equally at home across the back row, he will bring further competition to the squad.
Speaking on his decision to join Hoppers, Toby said “I’m really happy to be joining such a great club and I’m looking forward to ripping into the season with a good bunch of lads. I believe I can really improve my game with the help of some excellent coaches and there is a real sense that we can have a great year this season”.
Head Coach Paul Arnold said “Toby is someone I’ve been keen on getting to the club for a while. He’s got power and pace and is also a very good lineout option so he again adds further options to the squad. As I’ve said previously, competition in the back five of the pack is looking intense but it’s vital we have that depth. At times last season we got a little stretched so the additions of Toby and Christian (Taylor) plus the retention of the guys who were involved last season means we have the depth and quality of squad to build on last season’s campaign”.
