3. Hoppers vs Fylde Returns (1,450 views) – 27th January
The news that the Hoppers vs Fylde annual game was to return takes our third spot. The game was staged on Good Friday at Lightfoot Green with Hoppers running out 47-42 winners to claim the inaugural Brendan Hanavan Trophy.

The news that prolific fullback Sean Taylor was leaving the club makes up second place in our top 5 stories from 2014. Whilst at Hoppers Sean broke the record for the most points scored in a season during the 2012/13 season. He is currently playing in Northen Ireland for Ballymena.

He is currently undergoing treatment for stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and has started a blog to raise awareness of young sportsmen dealing with cancer.
