The Under 11s had to split their squad in half on Sunday to fulfill two seperate fixtures, one team travelling to Wigan for the re-arranged Mini Festival cup round 2 games while the other team hosted Kirkby Lonsdale at home.
In the cup, the U11s had good wins against Wigan (17-7) and Fylde (28-0) to put the U11s in prime position for qualification for finals day with one round of matches still to play. The performance against Fylde was described as “probably our best performance of the season so far” where the forwards totally dominated the Fylde forwards and gave the backs a real platform to perform. The U11s remain unbeaten in their four cup games this year.
The U11s home side had a good day against Kirkby Lonsdale even though they were beaten 25-40, every one played their part with confidence and performance improving as the morning went on. A big thank you to Kirkby Lonsdale for their part in an enjoyable mornings rugby.
