Well done to the lads and families who braved the chilly showers in Whitefield, Greater Manchester. Some more great running from the boys produced a successful Sunday’s rugby. Sedgley’s team ran out 5-4 winners against the Hoppers team in the first match with a last second try in an end to end game.
Hopper’s Fireflies pipped the home team 6-5 in the second match thanks to some brilliant defensive tackling. Hoppers’ strong tackling saw them hold Sedgley in their second match 2-2 while Fireflies drew 4-4 with Sedgley in their second match with some exciting runs from both teams. There was even time for the Fireflies and Hoppers teams to play each other. That finished 5-5.
