As part of the continuing fundraising efforts for the Dean Puplett Appeal, Preston Grasshoppers is sending a veterans team (35 and over) to Mold RFC in Wales on the 18th May to take part in a fundraising game.
Dean is the grandson of club members Mike and Catherine Forshaw. He was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Stage IV High Risk in April 2010 but after intensive treatment Dean was declared cancer free in June 2011.
He’s currently in remission but with an 80% chance that his cancer will return, Dean’s family are fundraising for treatment overseas as there’s no current relapse protocol available in the UK.
Chairman of Rugby Bill Bailey is organising the Hoppers side with the plan being to travel by coach and return on the day of the game.
