It’s nearly here! The 2015 Rugby World Cup which takes place in England throughout September and October is now less than two weeks away.
We’re delighted to announce that we will be showing all of England’s group games as well as the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final live in HD in the Dooley Suite at Lightfoot Green. The games will also be shown in the Wainwright Bar. We’ll also be showing all of the other home nations games in the Wainwright Bar which has 3 screens allowing a great view from any position.
England Group Fixtures
Friday 18th September, 8pm – England vs Fiji
Saturday 26th September, 8pm – England vs Wales
Saturday 3rd October, 8pm – England vs Australia
Saturday 10th October, 8pm – England vs Uruguay

The club will also be running a loyalty card scheme throughout the World Cup which works as follows.

Raffle
Every England game as well as the quarters, semis and final will see raffle tickets being sold with weekly prizes available. All tickets sold will also be entered into the grand draw with an England World Cup shirt signed by the current squad as the 1st prize. 2nd prize is a luxury spa weekend for 2 with plenty of other prizes available too. Tickets will be priced at £1 per ticket or £5 for 6. All money raised will go to funding Women’s and Girl’s Rugby at Preston Grasshoppers.
Equipment and Atmosphere
The club has invested in a new High Definition Projector and Audio System so that you can enjoy the games with crystal clear picture and sound. The main attraction of watching the games at Preston Grasshoppers is that you’ll be able to experience the game in a true rugby atmosphere. Anyone who watched the climax of the 2015 6 Nations tournament in Hoppers will be able to testify to that! You really must make sure you experience the Rugby World Cup with a proper rugby atmosphere and we’re the only venue in Preston that can offer that!
Spread the Word
The club would appreciate as much help as possible in spreading the word throughout Preston that Preston Grasshoppers is THE place to watch the World Cup. To help with this, we’ve linked three different posters below that we’d ask members to print off and display in their place of work or school. Copies are available to collect from the club office. Another way in which members can help is by sharing this web page on social media so that it is seen by as many of their friends as possible.
