Way of the Roses

Date: 10 June 2014

A group of 8 cyclists from the club have successfully completed the ‘Way of the Roses’ coast to coast challenge to raise money for St. Catherine’s Hospice.

The Way of the Roses is a relatively new coast to coast cycle route from Morecambe on the north west coast of the UK to Bridlington in the east. The route is 170 miles long and takes in some beautiful scenery.

Allan Nutter, Chris Murphy, Chris Ford, Stuart Crane, Andy Perman, Tony Callaghan, Bill Lambert, Steve Nichol and driver Mike Jackson completed the challenge in 3 days covering over 50 miles each day.

If you would like to donate to this great cause please leave your money with Allan Nutter, also our Head Chef, and he will see that it makes its way to St. Catherine’s.

Well done to all of the lads from everyone at Preston Grasshoppers.
