Hoppers head to Brantingham Park to face Hull Ionians on Saturday looking for a second win of the season.
After a very promising opening day and a bonus point win away at Tynedale, the Hoppers lads have fallen to 3 successive defeats at the hands of Fylde, Sheffield and Otley. Ionians come into the game with an even record of 2 wins and 2 defeats. Having won their opening two games against Huddersfield and Hull they have since lost to Leeds Tykes and last week were beaten 49-5 at Sheffield Tigers.
Both sides have an identical points difference of -46. Whilst scoring plenty of points, both teams have struggled defensively conceding an average of nearly 40 points per game. With that in mind this could be an open game with plenty of points.
The stand out threat for Hull Ionians appears to be Lewis Minikin who has racked up 53 in the 4 games so far including 3 tries.
